Author Reginald Canon

Reginald Canon was born in Haiti, but he is considered as a citizen of the world. He believes that humanity is his family, and the world his home. He is a medical professional, professor, motivational writer, and speaker. He lost his parents when he was eight years old. His life is influenced and inspired by the words of two people:

1- His father

A few moments before he passed out, he called his two sons, Reginald and his older brother Celifete, and talked to them. He asked the older brother to take care of Reginald, and then he said, ” Son, please become a man of principles, a man of values, and a man of success.” Reginald didn’t want to become a man of success without values. As Albert Einstein said, ”-Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.” Reginald has lived by the words of a beloved father who was about to die. After the death of his father, he stayed with his aunt and was taken care of by his older brother and finished high school in 2001.

2- Frank Berrett

In 2002, at the age of 19, after finishing high school, Reginald decided not to start with the medical school yet and to serve as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The president of the missionary training center, Frank Berrett, taught him to ”Learn to fly like an eagle”. He shared a scripture in the Bible with him saying, ”But those who trust in the Lord renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”(Isaiah 40:31). Berrett also shared his life’s motto with him, ”-Whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe, and enthusiastically act upon must inevitably come to pass.” These powerful words touched his heart and mind and made him become a great missionary. After his mission, he became a motivational teacher for four years at the same missionary training center where he had the opportunity to teach and change the lives of thousands of young men and women from different countries around the world.

It was a blessing to him to be able change the lives of others with the teachings that changed his own life in the same missionary training center. After teaching at the center, he decided to become a motivational writer to share his experiences in his books with the whole world. All of his life experiences taught him to put the people first.

His mission is to teach, to love and to take care of people; teaching, loving and caring are what he does best, and he can learn to do better. He will seek to learn, for learning is the basis for growth, and growing is the key to living. He will seek first to understand, for understanding is the key to finding value, and value is the basis for respect, decisions, and action. This should be his first act with his family, his patients, his clients and his business. He wants to help influence the future development of people and organizations. He wants to teach others to love and help, to learn and grow beyond their current bounds. He will build personal, business, and human relationships by sharing his values, talent, knowledge and his resources, in frequent little ways.

Reginald is the author of the motivational book entitled, How to Fly like an Eagle, which teaches the seven principles for success in all areas of life. This book is the result of his experience, talent, and his life in the service of the entire humanity in a way to give back what he has learned and received from others. In this book, the readers are going to learn how to overcome obstacles and to cultivate the fruit of persistence. Persistence is an essential factor in the process of transformation of desire into its monetary equivalent. The basis of persistence is the power of will. When this power and desire combine correctly, they form an irresistible combination, the perfect one to help you overcome your failures. There are four simple steps which lead to the habit of persistence. This does not require a large amount of intelligence or special education, but time and minimal effort.

The four steps are as follows:

1- A target set backed by a burning desire to achieve it.

2- A definite plan, expressed in continuous action.

3- A closed mind to any negative influence.

4- A harmonious agreement with one or more persons, able to lead someone to go forward with the plan and with the goal.

These four steps are essential for success in all areas of life. These are the steps with which you can control your economic destiny. These are the steps that lead to freedom and independence of thought, that convert dreams into reality. These are the steps that lead to the domination of fear, discouragement and indifference.

No matter the situation you are facing currently, maybe you are in a wheelchair or a hospital bed and without any hope of survival, maybe you’re on the verge of divorce, or you are unable to complete your schooling or university, or find a job. You can now be crawling like a snake or you have broken wings preventing you from being able to fly like an eagle, but one thing is certain, regardless of your economic, family, health situation you can have a better life, develop your potential and fly as high as the eagle above any obstacles or constraints you are facing right now. Of course, all these will only be possible if you apply the principles taught in this book.

The author testifies with all his heart that this book has the power to transform the lives of people from nothing to excellence, from the dust of the ground to the top of success. Anyone who read it, and put the principles into practice, their life will be completely blessed!
